The German Development Service (DED) has been working with its technical assistants since 1965 in Cameroon in order to achieve a sustainable improvement of the living conditions of the people and to create prerequisites for development. Cameroon is one of the partner countries of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). On the basis of a mutual dialogue and an intensive technical exchange, DED staff members are working together with the local population towards the implementation of development programs in three main sectors. These were negotiated in 2003 with the Cameroon government and the German governmental organizations for development. The sectors are:

DED, with its more than 30 staff members, is working closely together with the other German governmental organisations for development, such as the German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) and the German Development Bank (KfW). The Cameroon government and organisations of the civil society are our partners.
